Live2Work supported unemployed young adults in situations of professional vulnerability, including migrants and refugees. Many of them held qualifications that did not match what the labour market asked for, and the project set out to close that gap.
The career counsellors of the coordinator, Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa, also needed structured methodologies for their daily guidance work. Live2Work gave them a shared set of tools and a clear way to apply them.
We built the project website and the collaboration platform the partners used to work together across countries.
We developed the e-learning platform and the online courses that trainers use to prepare young adults for working life.
We promoted the project and its results through social media, Google Ads and YouTube.
We built an interactive LMS with gamification, community features and social learning, plus a dedicated dashboard for trainers and mentors. Printable handouts, flashcards and worksheets support the work in the classroom.
Inside the courses, learners work with the “Wheel of Life” visual tool and networking maps, answer interactive quizzes with instant feedback, complete drag-and-drop activities and receive personalised learning recommendations.

Platform still online since 2016
Live2Work taught us how to adapt offline guidance methods to an online environment. What works in a counselling room needs a different rhythm on screen, so we relied on gamification and microlearning to keep participants motivated.
The project also pushed us to build tools we had not built before, and several of them contributed to the honourable mention. The platform is still online 10 years after the project started, long after the grant ended.
